CHRISTIAN VIEWS ON GENDER AND FAMILY LIFE TODAY

The panel “Christian Views on Gender and Family Life Today” invites contributions that explore how Christian theological, biblical, and pastoral perspectives can illuminate contemporary challenges related to gender roles, family structures, and parental responsibilities in an era of rapid social and cultural transformation and ideological challanges. We welcome papers that examine traditional and emerging interpretations within various Christian traditions-especially Eastern Orthodoxy-regarding masculinity and femininity, marriage, child-rearing, and community life, as well as analyses of how these perspectives engage with current debates on identity, societal norms, and ethical practice. By bringing together interdisciplinary and historically informed research, this panel seeks to foster a nuanced and constructive dialogue on how Christian identity can both respond to and shape understandings of gender and family life in the modern world.
